About

Drowning Fish Brewing Co. was born when two friends, Don Tomino and Mike Ameel, had a whimsical encounter with a talking fish named Reefer at a bar. The fish asked to be dropped into their beer mug, and after some laughter and bonding over pints, they decided to open a brewery together. Despite its paradoxical name, the brewery thrives, offering small-batch beers, Sunday brunch, Trivia Night, and live music, creating a warm and welcoming environment for their customers. In this unique tale, a fish's quirky request led to the creation of a successful brewery.
